Value-Added Tax, sometimes known as VAT, is a consumption tax that effectively covers all products and services that are purchased and sold in the EU with the intention of being used or consumed.

Orders that are imported into the UK and Norway, two of the 27* members of the European Union, as well as orders that are sold locally or travel across their borders, including the US, are subject to VAT.

When is VAT applied?
Orders under these conditions are subject to VAT charges:

• Local and Cross-Border Sales: For purchases made and delivered to addresses in the UK, Norway, and the 27 member states of the EU.
• Imports: For orders coming from outside the EU, such as the US, and delivered to these nations.

The cost of the UInPrint order will automatically be adjusted according to the applicable VAT rate. The taxable amount also includes the shipping costs.

The imposed VAT rate can vary from 0% to 27% based on the following characteristics.

The exact VAT rate is calculated based on:

• Which nation an order is printed in (the country of origin) for a specific product
• Where it is shipped to (destination country)

Yes, local taxes will apply to all printed items that are transported within Australia and New Zealand.

Generally speaking, taxes from Australia and New Zealand apply to every item in the UInPrint catalog. Certain products might be excluded due to their classification. Like the remainder of the order, the shipping cost is taxable and is subject to the same tax rate.

Marketplaces and registrations do not have any special tax exemptions.

In Australia and New Zealand, there is only one type of tax that applies to UInPrint orders:

• The federal Goods and Services Tax (GST) is levied on all local sales.

  • In New Zealand GST is 15%

As of April 2022, UInPrint has updated its tax policy for sales within Canada, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.

Local taxes will be charged on all printed items shipped within Canada. The tax rate, which represents the various tax rates in each province, is determined by the destination address of each order.

In Canada, there are two kinds of taxes. The provinces impose one tax, while the federal government imposes the other.

These can be divided into four distinct taxes, which is how your invoices will show them:

• Goods and Services Tax (GST): A federal tax known as the Goods and Services Tax (GST) is levied on all sales made in every province in Canada.
• Harmonized Sales Tax (HST): All sales into Ontario, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland are subject to the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST), this combines the provincial sales tax with the goods and services tax.
• Provincial Sales Tax (PST): The provinces impose Provincial Sales Tax (PST) on orders that are transported to British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
• Quebec Sales Tax (QST): Shipments to Quebec are subject to a provincial tax known as the Quebec Sales Tax (QST).

Provinces in Canada impose either a GST alone or a GST in addition to a Provincial Sales Tax (PST). The provincial share of the tax has already been added to the combined rate in provinces that have the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST).
